Ted's 99 "Bad Al Bell" Special
The "Bad Al Bell Special" was Ted Cahall's first "owned & operated" race car. It was purchased from "Bad Al" Bell prior to the beginning of the 2009 race season. It is a 1999 Spec Miata (SM) and has undergone numerous changes over the years including a Rossini race engine, several transmissions, a differential, steel brake lines, and more recently a new Race Engineering race engine. This car has won several STU races including a 2011 STU National race at the Poconos. It has been used as a back-up or primary car in all of Ted's race seasons and was used as his car in the 2010 SCCA National Championship Runoffs.
